Liverpool Vs Arsenal 2020/2021 Carabao Cup Fourth Round Match Preview and Prediction. (01/10/2020)

After their meeting in 2019/2020 ended 5-5 draw and needed a penalty to determine who will progress to the next Round which later saw Liverpool win on penalties. Liverpool will host Arsenal for the second straight season in the Carabao Cup at Anfield.

Liverpool will be aiming to get a second win in the same week against Arsenal at Anfield when they defeated Arsenal 3-1 at home in the Premier League earlier this week.
Liverpool progressed past Lincoln City 7-2 in the last round. They also have a deeper squad that Klopp can  decide to use a completely different XI that played against Arsenal on Monday night.


Arsenal's Arteta doesn't have the same luxury of players to face them tonight. He might not make a lot of changes to the squad that featured against Liverpool earlier this week.
Arsenal came through a very difficult third round game against Leicester and they won 2-0.


Liverpool will be without their new signing Thiago Alcantara, Joel Matip is also out, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is ruled out while Jordan Henderson is a doubt. 
Arsenal Will be without Shkodran Mustafi, Cedric Soares, Emile Smith-Rowe, Sokratis and Calum Chambers due to injury. Cedric Soares and Sokratis could make the team in time for the game.


Trend shows that the last straight 8 games between the teams have seen both teams finding the back of the net and 10 of the last 12 matches between the teams in all competition have seen over 2.5 goals scored.
