Chelsea Set To Extend Unbeaten Streak At Leicester’s Expense.
Leicester City find themselves twelfth – nine points behind Chelsea – after recording four wins, three draws and four losses so far. It’s fair to say that Brendan Rodgers’ men have made an indifferent start to the 2021/22 Premier League campaign.
Having scored 16 goals and conceded 18 at the other end of the pitch, they head into Saturday’s clash with a poor –2 goal difference.
Leicester City have failed to win each of their last two Premier League games, losing to Arsenal before drawing with Leeds United last time out. Thanks to a solid start to their Europa League campaign, however, the Foxes have lost just one of their past eight games in all competitions.
It is also worth pointing out that Leicester have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their previous ten encounters.
Chelsea have only lost one of their 11 league games this term – picking up eight wins and two draws in the process.
Not only are Thomas Tuchel’s men the second-highest scorers in the league, but they also boast the best defensive record.
The Blues head into Saturday’s clash on an eight-match unbeaten streak across all competitions, picking up seven wins and one draw in that time.
Chelsea’s seven-game winning run was brought to an end by Burnley before the international break. Despite seeing 70% possession and racking up 25 shots, Tuchel’s side were held to a 1-1 draw. Chelsea have only managed to win two of their previous ten meetings with Leicester City across all competitions.
Leicester City and Chelsea last met in the FA Cup final. The Foxes lifted the trophy after claiming a 1-0 win back in May.
Leicester City will be without injured quartet James Justin, Marc Albrighton, Wesley Fofana and Ryan Bertrand on Saturday.
Chelsea currently have Timo Werner and Mateo Kovacic out injured. Mason Mount, Marcos Alonso and Romelu Lukaku are also doubts.
PREDICTION: CHELSEA TO SCORE MORE THAN TWO GOALS AND BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE.
