Sevilla have secured one win and two draws from their last three games against Barcelona, winning 2-0 in the Copa del Rey earlier this month. Under 2.5 goals have been scored in each of the duo’s last three meetings, but the three meetings prior to that were packed with goals.
Sevilla head into this game as the favourites with five wins and one defeat from their last six matches. Barcelona have picked up three wins, one draw and two defeats from their last six outings, so could well struggled this weekend.
Under 2.5 goals have been scored in four of Sevilla’s last six fixtures, five of which have produced clean sheets for the 4th placed club. Only two of Barcelona’s last six outings have seen under 2.5 goals scored and the Spanish giants have only failed to score in one of those matches but it was against Sevilla in the Copa del Rey.
En-Nesyri top scores for the home side with 13 La Liga goals and will provide the focal point of Sevilla’s attacks this weekend, while Messi will be the big threat for Barcelona having scored 18-goals in the league alone this season.
On the injury front, Sevilla look set to be without Lucas Ariel Ocampos and Marcos Acuña until next month, while Barcelona are expected to be without the services of Ronald Araujo, Sergi Roberto, Philippe Coutinho and Ansu Fati for the trip to Seville.
PREDICTION: BARCELONA TO WIN
