The Serbians held out against Brazil for over an hour, but two Richarlison strikes gave the Selecao the win. Serbia’s highly touted attack of Filip Kostic, Dusan Vlahovic, and Aleksandar Mitrovic failed to spark.

Cameroon and Serbia played once previously with the Serbians picking up a 4-3 win. The game was played in 2010, so there are no recent trends to go on between the two sides.

The Indomitable Lions will likely stick with their attacking 4-3-3 formation. Cameroon tried to hit Switzerland on the counter-attack in the match and nearly scored.

Serbia were disappointing against Brazil, as their start attacking players did not rise to the occasion. They kept just 41% of the possession during the fixture. Manager Dragan Stojkovic used a 3-4-2-1 formation versus Brazil.

The Serbians picked up three yellow cards against Brazil. Stojkovic didn’t use winger Kostic in the game versus Brazil, which could have exploited the team in wide areas. He could make a change for the Cameroon game.

It could be theorised Stojkovic could change the formation against Cameroon to attack. He may have used the 3-4-2-1 formation to clog up the middle against Brazil.

Serbia have an immensely talented team, but it didn’t get to showcase the talent against Brazil. The Serbians should play more freely in the second game as every group stage match is now a must-win.
