Arsenal, head into Friday’s clash on the back of successive draws and sit twelfth in the standings – four points outside the top four. The Gunners extended their unbeaten streak to six games in all competitions after snatching a last-grasp draw against Crystal Palace on Monday.

Despite recording 17 shots – six of which were on target – Mikel Arteta’s men were forced to come from behind to rescue a 2-2 draw with the Eagles.

Although Aston Villa have enjoyed great successes against Arsenal in recent times, the Gunners are expected to flex their muscles this time around.
